Future1st GTO is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Traineeship Program as PCA Trainees in the aged care industry. As a Trainee, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of older adults by providing essential personal care and support. This traineeship will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the aged care sector, while offering a supportive and rewarding learning environment.

Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care and assistance to residents in accordance with their individual needs and care plans

- Foster a caring, compassionate, and patient interaction with older people, ensuring their comfort and well-being

- Perform personal care tasks, hospitality services, and housekeeping support as required

- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support to residents

- Attend on-site and online learning sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in the aged care field

- Balance work-life commitments with a combination of on-site and online learning

Qualifications and Skills:

- Availability to work part-time and commence at the start time for on-site learning days

- Commitment to dedicating a specified number of months to obtain the required qualification

- Warm, kind, and empathetic personality to provide exceptional care to residents

- Access to a computer and internet for online learning components

- NDIS Workers Screening Check or willingness to obtain one

Trainees will undertake Certificate III in Aged Care or Certificate III in Individual Support. The course equips you with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide compassionate care and support to elderly individuals. You will learn essential skills such as assisting with personal hygiene, medication management, mobility support, and emotional well-being.

Throughout the course, you will develop a solid understanding of infection control practices, safety protocols, and effective communication techniques when interacting with residents and their families. Practical experience and workplace training with our reputable host employers will allow you to apply your skills and gain hands-on experience in providing quality care.
