Dental Assistant Traineeship
Future1st GTO is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Traineeship Program as Dental Assistant Trainees. As a Trainee, you will have the opportunity to launch your career in the dental field and contribute to providing quality oral healthcare services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dental professionals in delivering exceptional dental care to patients
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain cleanliness and organization
- Greet and prepare patients for their dental procedures, taking their medical history and explaining treatment processes
- Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures, ensuring the dentist has the necessary instruments and materials
- Perform dental radiographs (x-rays) and process them as required
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in working in the dental field
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and follow instructions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Valid ID and right to work certificate

Trainees will undertake HLT35015 Certificate III in Dental Assisting. The course provides you with the skills and knowledge to effectively support a dentist, dental hygienist or dental therapist during healthcare procedures, maintain high standards of infection control and assist with practice administration.
Your course includes cleaning and sterilising instruments and equipment, processing and storage of radiographic film, safe disposal of surgery waste and maintaining the cleanliness of treatment rooms.
You will also learn helpful administrative skills such as managing appointments, processing payments and maintaining accurate client records. Practical skills in dental care are gained through your workplace training with your host employer.
